HINTS AND TIPS
Read the online position description carefully!
We endeavor to put as much detail about each position online as possible, so that you are fully informed before you apply for the role. This ensures you don't waste any time with roles that aren't exactly suited to you, and if you go ahead and apply you can be sure that you are in a select group of candidates, rather than another resume at the bottom of a big pile! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Complete all your contact details accurately.
Enter all your contact information carefully, including First, Last Name, Address Details, Home Phone and Mobile Number, and most importantly your email address. We will confirm receipt of your application by return email.
Answer the questions in your own words and keep it brief.
Complete the questions as you would answer them face-to-face - imagine you are in a live interview. Employers prefer straightforward responses that are easy to understand and evaluate. Don't be too wordy, get to the point quickly, and remember that the interview panel will review your answers exactly as you write them.
Never copy and paste from your resume!
Our online application forms aren't the place to drop in bullets points from an old resume! These are interview questions and provide you with a great opportunity to answer them directly. If you are short listed you may be asked to provide a resume later on, or to attend a face-to-face interview so don't waste your opportunity to stand out and provide good answers.
Read over your answers one last time.
Before you submit your application, re-read your answers and check that they make sense, are fluent and easy to read. We ensure that your application is well formatted by our system and clearly laid out so that it is presented to the employer in the best possible light, so it is worth your while to make the content clear too.
Answer the question directly!
It may sound obvious, but read the question carefully and then try to answer the question directly, resist any temptation to go on and discuss unrelated things that might seem interesting. Going "off topic" will only annoy the reader. You will have plenty of time to discuss other areas via your resume or in a face-to-face interview.
